    Does shooting a bolt at a wall or floor to make a noise and attract the attention of the guard count as detection? I'm trying to play without any detection at all, so I'm wondering what is allowed. Anyone have tips?

    No, only when the indicators over the head of the NPCs go red you are busted but if they are white then you have no problem

    Normal bolts do distract enemies.
