Bend Time Power Not Working?

No matter what I try, my Bend Time Power will not stop bullets. I see the enemy about to fire his pistol, I use the power, then after a second or two he fires, but the bullet still instantly hits me. It never slows down. I've seen the Bend Time + Possession kill on youtube and it looks really cool, I'd like to be able to do it, but I have no idea how to do this if I can't get the bullet to slow down. Help?

I have bend time 2. But it doesn't actually stop time. As far as I can tell, I haven't noticed any difference between levels 1 and 2. It lasts the same amount of time and the enemies move at the same pace.

Thanks for the replies. It appears I have a glitch. As I for sure have Bend Time 2, and time does not stop. I've tried new Pt's and still nothing. *Le sigh, oh well.
