Potential months of play time, Disgaea is Definitely an instant number one for all turn based strategy game players
The only thing stopping it from getting ten out of ten is its plot which i explained before, but its really a long game plus you can beat it quickly, because a lot of the length is simply bonus levels, but their is a lot of them.
and of course the dark assembly feature is very fun, allowing you to make characters and unlock bonus levels its one awesome feature, also with characters theirs so much bonus stuff to take advantage of that really, it is awesome.
well anyway on to the actual strategy, you start a battle at a spawn pad, you may choose to spawn any person at any time, as long as their neither A) dead B) already spawned C) you've thrown an enemy on it (which destroys it) or D) someone's standing on it, next you may move the person the amount of squares that their 'move' is then you can attack, defend, leave him, let someone else move, or throw something. Throwing is a unique feature which as the name implies allows you to pick something up and throw it.
Geo panels are another unique feature which add special stuff to colored areas that they are in these can benefit you or hinder you and special rules for geo panels can add a lot of strategy.
throwing also adds strategy for example if you throw two enemies at each other their levels will combine, also prinnies (a special creature) explode when thrown, and if you throw a geo panel at an enemy or vice versa the geo panel disappears.
another feature you need to try is the multiplayer, have you ever played a great game then wished it had multilayer? well this is a great game which has it.
with all the bonuses and play time, disgaea is a sure seller and a fantastic game for anyone.
