Big change, now you cant really call it resident evil with dinosaurs.

User Rating: 9.8 | Dino Crisis 2 PS
This game avoids most of the aspects of a resident evil game, and does pretty good.

The game is now set in a jungle. It is not at night, and is not very scary and slow. Ther jungles however are prerendered, instead of fully 3d as in the original. But the game still looks beautiful, and captures that dinosaur essence.

The other change is that they added a crapload of new dinosaurs. Now the t-rex isnt the only biggest foe. There are more raptors at once, no more one raptor in each room, each section can have up to 60 raptors, because they keep coming. Also each dinosaur is different, obviously, but in tactical defeat, they are not run and gun dinos, you actually have to find their weaknesses, how to dodge them, and what they do, its actually fun to kill the dinos.

The games story is following the original, and finding dr. kirks lab, the story is pretty good for a sequel, but nothing you would really remember.

The best addition into the game is that there are 2 playable characters. Regina is back with a partner, Dylan. Each character will switched off during the game to see their part in the story. The characters are very different in terms of playability. Dylan has shotguns and big electric guns, and grenade launchers. While Regina has pistols, machine guns, and some submachine guns.

Since each character has their own weapons, there are a lot of weapons. Barely any weapons is used in both of them.

The other feature is a new save feature, which is a panel in a safe room that will let you save, buy items, weapons, and health. Very cool addition that doesnt betray the dino crisis series.

Dino crisis 2 is an excellent sequel. It is a must buy.
