Dino Crisis 2 has graphics and sounds that are just all-around incredible. Let's all love this game together now!

I do love this game. Regina's Heavy machine gun, and those pistols! It was great.

I still think that Dino Crisis 1 tells a better story than the mess than was DC2. However, both games did extremely well; at least when the gameplay in their respective genres is considered.
Shame they never made a third game, eh?

Yup, what a shame!!!!

That handgun/shotgun run is actually probably really simple since you can just keep collecting your points, saving the game, collecting more points, buying health when your butt gets low on health, etc. Then again, it's not like I ever tried such a challenge myself

Oh believe me, it is no walk in the park. Those long neck dinos can take quite a few pistol rounds to drop. And then those ones with the armored backs, sheesh.
Dino Crisis 1 did have a much better story. It has been rapidly climbing my favorite games list the past few years.

I liked the DC1 story as well, but the story is only one part of the game. A great story with lousy gameplay and graphics is a waste. The DC2 storyline was indeed a bit thinner than
in DC1, but without DC2, DC1 fans would say: It was good,
but they could have made a sequel that was more action based, I would have liked that
also. DC2 was the action based sequel many people wanted. My views on what was
known as DC3 (ha-ha) are well known. It was a good first draft of a game, but miles
from what I would consider the finished product. The camera angle, pretty much non
existant storyline, weak weapons, the fact that one hit takes nearly all your health, the
fact that it had nothing to do with the DC franchise at all....all of these things needed to
be fixed before selling it. But none of them were and they sold it like that. But that's just
my opinion.

Never did I say to myself " If only I was killing thousands of dinosaurs really easily instead of being threatened by the enemies". Action is just not what I expected or needed from the series. My ideal sequel was actually one where they continued the story with Dr. Kirk.
I can see why people might want more action, but many other people preferred the survival horror and puzzle-solving aspects of the game. Speaking of which, there are far more alternative action games you can play; not so many survival horror games.

I remember back in 2000 people didn't seem to care how much action a game contained. I can't recall which year it was, but around 2004-2005 it seemed gamers finally said "Alright enough is enough! Give me quality storyline/gameplay or give me death!" (without the death part, lol).

I hope you all have a great Christmas! I'm out of here for a few days. Have a good one!

I'm back again. Everyone wave to me!

I got a bunch of great stuff for Christmas. The best was the Legend of Zelda- Skyward Princess or whatever it's called. The new one. I guess this means I'll be flinging swords upward for the next several weeks and enjoying myself, lol.
I was totally fooled by the new Wii remote Plus or whatever thingy it's technically referred to as. I thought it was a completely new remote- it's not. It's just an attachment that fits on the bottom of the remote. Reading is fundamental

I got lots of cash, but I've been taking advantage of all the cheap games on Steam. Already I've bought quite a few games, most of which have been under $5. This is awesome, particularly since games are so expensive to buy in Australian stores.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent stands out among the new games. I've never really experienced that kind of psychological horror in a game before. Definitely worth a try, if you haven't already got it.

Does that game have ghosts and spirits? That kind of psychological horror? I loooove those kind of games (and movies and documentaries too!) I got a couple horror DVD's (Paranormal Activity which, according to several people, actually sucks) but hey, I've been wanting to see parts 1 and 2 for a while now anyway.

I got King of Fighters 13, Skyrim and Jurassic Park on Bluray. Yay!

It's quite difficult to explain, but there aren't any conventional spirits. You'll notice many, many, things which can only really be explained by ghostly activity, but you probably won't see any ghosts. Keep in mind that this game loves making you feel hunted; you won't get a weapon, enemies are strong and fast (though not all that frequent).
The game understands that the less you see of a monster; the more frightening it is. It does this far better than any other game I've ever played does.
