Think of it as Super Smash Bros, but with Digimon.

User Rating: 7.8 | Digimon Rumble Arena PS
Digimon peaked at around the time Pokemon became popular. And although it never got as popular as Pokemon, at least the series got one good game out of it. Digimon Rumble Arena would be an interesting game to play, if only it didn't play so much like Super Smash Bros. The main difference between DRA and SSB is everyone likes Nintendo while most people don't really like Digimon. The controls in Digimon are exactly like your standard fighting game. The controls are responsive and no one should have any problems controlling a character and moving them around the screen. The best thing about DRA is the ability to digivolve in the middle of battle. When your digivolve meter becomes full, you can transform into a bigger and essentially more powerful digimon. In your more powerful phase you can unleash super powerful moves that severely damage your opponent. The environments are interactive and that is something that I like to see. The music is nothing extraordinary in this game. Its not gonna drive you crazy which is good. I can really only recommend this game to die hard Digimon fans. Unlocking all the extra arenas and Digimon is something that they are just gonna have a ball with. Digimon fans only need apply for this game.
