Dig Dug has been around for some time and it has been brought out on numerous consoles, but somewhere along the line this version has fallen flat in the difficulty department because it is eaiser than the arcade version!!!!

Gameplay : Dig Dug has a simple yet addictive game play style. You're placed in the middle of a stage, underground. It starts with four enemies. Each in their own prison of sorts. Like of a tube actually. They walk around but the catch is that they can float out and attack you but don't dig away any of the dirt. You have a harpoon, which you shoot by hitting a. Tap the button to blow the enemies up. That is all. There are some rocks placed in the levels and you can cause them to fall by getting rid of the dirt under them. It's pretty simple and anyone can play it. The game does get a bit harder later on when more enemies appear and if you don't kill them fast enough they kick into over drive. The game supplies a replay option. Instead of starting over at stage one you can stage over on any stage you have made it to. A nice feature but it makes getting the achievements so much easier. The game offers 12 achievements. I got 10 of those within 1 hour. I'm having trouble with one though.

Graphics : The graphics in Dig Dug are nice to be honest with you, the colours are bright and cool. The side art is the best though because it looks so damn cool!!

Sound : Those classic sound effects are back, bringing me back to the days when I got out of school and would rush to the arcade. Ah, the good old days where almost any game was enjoyable. While I can't say I love the some what catchy music in this title I must say the High Score placement music is by far some of the worst I've heard in a while. It just annoyed me for some reason.

All in all Dig Dug is an alright game that just has had its difficulty stuffed up.
If your looking for a few easy achievements then look no further.
