For me, this game represents the inception of the GTA series.
the first game is called die hard & it was inspired from the die hard movie from 1988.the action takes place in the nakatomi plaza.your objective is to clean it from bad guys from the base to the top in 19 explosive-action paked levels.you start the game at the garage & finish it at the 3rd computers level.at each level you have to kill all the bad guys,after that-get the hell outa here!a bomb is triggered & you have 30 seconds to leave the floor via the elevator.it is optional to rescue the hostages.if you kill them nothing happens.you play the role of john mcclane,an n.y.p.d. member.his voice is actually burce willis's voice & he says quotes from the movie.
this is a third person shooter..through-out the game you pick up lots of weapons & stuff.the best weapon is the explosive shotgun!i've never had so much fun in other games when i had this weapon in die hard.you can kill up to 5 baddies.you can also pick up grenades & accidentaly see that some baddies are joining the party.they come with the elevator.wait untill they get out & then throw them a grenade to have a lot of fun.when john pick up the machine gun says:hohoho!i've got a machine gun!or,best christmas bonus i ever got!he's so much better than heroes like duke nukem & others.
there are some bonus levels that all take place in on the roof.your objective is to make way for the hostages to get to the choppa!get to the choppa!on the helipad.bad guys everywhere,there's not a single moment where you can rest or take break.it's non-stop action & after that the bomb is triggered again.on the roof?yes,not even on the roof you can't escape it.
the music is awesome,rocks.it's techno,drum n base,something like that.it keeps your adrenaline high all the time.8/10.the graphics are not so great,7/10 but hey,who needs great graphics when you have the greatest gameplay in the whole wide world!9.9/10!i've played a lot of games but this one is the most entertaining.all you do is shoot-quote-shoot-kill-shoot-save-shoot-walk-shoot-run-say quotes-shoot-kill-get the hell outa here!the floor will explode.get to the elevata!at the end of the game you are at computers level 3 & you have to slaughter around 100 baddies.then appears the boss,han or whatever.no problem.if you have the explosive shotgun & some grenades then it's epic win!total mayhem.blow them away,brak glases,throw grenades,flashbangs,jump around-it's crazy!!!the most entertaining game is ever played in my life without a doubt but i'm afraid to call it the greatest game ever.actually,this game alone,it's not even among the 50 greatest video games of all time.everybody has a weakness.mine is die hard.it's a game with endles replay value.

the second game,inspired from the 2nd movie is called die hard-die harder.lol!what a paradox.in this game you get to die very easy.it's not worthy of a die hard title.it's from a first person perspective,you have a moving target.it could have been great if it could have been played with a lightgun,just like an nes one.the action take place at the dulles airport & you have to throw your arsenal on the bad guys & aoivd killing the hostages that appear in your face or visual sight.there are only 7 levels.the first ones are easy & interesting but from a point the game becomes nearly impossible-you will die very easy.the graphics are fair,6/10.the music is interesting,7/10 & the gameplay is simple-5/10.anyway,i consider this game just a bonus.

the third game,inspired from the third movie is called die hard-with a vengeance.you are in a taxi in new york & you have have to drive like mad to get to the cho...no,to get to the bombs to defuse them,just run with the car over them to dispose them of.if you don't manage to get in time,the whole city will blow up-it's like a nuclear bomb!in the game you can change your taxi with a police care or a sports car.you have only 3 lives & you die quite fast.again,this game is not so worthy of the name die hard.it's a paradox.
at the end of the game,you will fight with simon gruber,the one who placed bombs randomly.he is a choper..get to the choppa!yes,you in thr car have to jump high enough to hit the chopper to make damage.very hard level.
the graphics are fair,6/10.the music is good,7/10 & the gameplay is very addictive.the worst part is when you take corners...
overall-7.5/10.
a great package of 3 mind blowing games.the first one alone is the bomb!the other 2 i consider them just a bonus.they kinda drag it down.arghhh!
it was released in 1996,way before games like counter-strike or gta os think about it.it's also revolutionary.man!great movies,great games.a total succes this die hard franchie is.i can compare die hard trilogy with another trilogy from the ps1-alien trilogy.same thing.games inspired from the movies,again it has the same atmosphere from the movies.there is no difference when seeing the movies or playing the games of course with some differences.both are from fox entertainment.man,they did a fantastic job with these 2 trilogies.
especially with die hard.
the game has a sequel but it's a ghost sequel.one of the worst games i ever played.total failure die hard trilogy 2-viva las vegas:)
i highly reccomend this game to everybody,it's higly addictive,very fun,challenging,adrenaline pumping,explosive,never dull or boring,great etc,etc.
die hard trilogy owns counter-strike & the gta series.it's better than the first one but not as great as the second one.unfortunatelly,all the gta games from part 3 are better than die hard trilogy.that's life.you can't make 3 perfect games in one.just the first one is perfect & the other 2 can be laughable in the bad way.

they just don't do it like they used to.nowadays the games have lost their true spirit & gameplay & replayability.if this game will be remaked it will be a big dissapointment.they should keep away from touching it. it just doesn't need a remake.
