I expect the graphics will have a facelift before release which is likely early 2011, Blizzard wouldn't just release unfinished or sub par graphics / game play.

@ Arda's 4'th point, new races woiuld be awesome indeed, why are only humans the good ones?:D Would be awesome if you could smash and bash evil creeps with...lets say...satyr?:D

1-) rapiergv thanks for the info i wasn't really into the diablo so i don't know much about it and first impressions are hard to erase. 2-) Does anybody have any idea when this game will be released??? I am really looking forward for this game and I'm buying at the first day.... but this video really disappointed me.... please some one tell me the final game will be completely different..... please...... it is even worth than that diablo3 clone, the torchlight.
@Arda_Daghan212 1 - The "cinematic" is obviously done with the in-game engine, so it's a pretty decent quality actually. Don't worry, i'm sure the game'll have awesome rendered cinematics aswell :) 2 - i saw some older footage with outdoor scenery, so it won't be all "dungeony". Although i'm more of an RTS fan (warcraft 3 and sc/sc2), i'm definitely looking forward for this to come out. Cheers! @rafaelszpo yeah, all that jumping around does seem like unappropriate for a mage but i surely preffer the more dynamic approach to a classic, "stand-and-cast" type mage :). bouncy-bouncy!
1-- the gameplay is awesome but the cinematics (i couldn't be sure if they were cinematics) looked terrible. 2-- I watched a few gameplays and couldn't see the sky in any it gets boring if you're in a dungeon all the time.
Damn, I loved the first two, but that looked terrible, actually. Why did the graphics look like they were from college, aka circa 1997? Sad.
I honestly cannot wait already for this game! Blizzard, thanx for SC2, great, I will play it, but seriously, Diablo 3, I just can't wait damn it!!!!
When this game comes out I am going to try all the classes there are for several levels then concentrate on my favourite class. That doesnt mean the most overpowered class but the one I have most fun playing. P.S. Cant wait, cant wait! :-D
Why do some people say the graphic and GAMEPLAY is outdated? I think its NOT outdated at all. A game can't be old school made if its only 3 years old seriously... World Of warcraft is much older then diablo 3 and its not OLD at all, its still the best game on this planet :D
damn blizzard , i'm almost crying cause i don't have this . i f$ckng want it , even a demo is good but I WANT D3 well i'd like it when it comes out next year in summer vacation , but that will stay a dream i think :(
@Riohater911 Exactly right, and all things considered, I still think D2's graphics are interesting enough and pretty decent. Good artwork and atmosphere goes a long way!
They keep the less advanced graphics so more people have compatable computers to play the game, making a larger community, and hence better ratings in the end. Besides... Compared to diablo 2 graphics, this game looks amazing.
I'd much rather have flashy spells, smooth character movement, and great voice acting than a fantastic crypt texture. That and the gameplay better be similar to what it was in the first 2. Although I am excited for the caster bar.
at this moment i everybody is complaining that they have been waiting for this game for too long. they need a release date to stick to. a few people i have spoken to which are hard-core games are not even interested in this anymore due to it never getting released.
I think blizzard focused more on gameplay and the multiplayer experience they will offer and they don't care much on how the game looks and the outdated graphic engine they will use in the final version of the game. Just like what they did on starcraft 2 and the soon to be released WOW Cataclysm.
By the time Blizzard releases Diablo 3; they would've waited so long already that the game's graphic engine is going to be total dog *****. By the looks of this game, the graphics are nothing new since its been in development for like 3-5 years? D3 is not going to be released in 2010 maybe 2011. Look at this way gang, the next character class will be announced at blizzcon and then a release date will be announce and that ain't going to be as soon as we want it to be :P
Maybe I've been spoiled by bioware, but this game looks really dated and its not even out yet. I don't just mean the graphics, the way it plays just looks really old fashioned.
One more thing, to on a sideish note, as i read some of the comment someone said they were very glad to see the class named wizzard (modestkraut1292, copy past cuz name is dumb) and personally, when i hear the term wizzard i think harry potter and the fabulous wizards with thier cheese-fest wands casting perma-b*ner spells on eachother to stay rock hard for the nights all male festivities. Wizard is just a dorky word, it doesnt sound intimedating, nor threating. Wizard just sounds like some lame darshe who would get the sh*t beat out of him by a guy with a cooler title like mage or warlock. Wizard makes me think pointy hats and rediculous wands, so i have to absolutly dissagree with calling any magic class that dreams of being taken, in any way, seriously a wizard.
A sinking feeling has been growing in the pit of my stomach over this game. Blizzard has released shockingly little information about it in recently (by recently i mean around a year now) blizzcon had Diablo showcasing one additional class, not much to have a convention over (and yes i know they have SC2 and WOW). I mean the least i expected was another showcase of of new levels, and maybe more than a tease at ONE class, especially one that was in 2. And honestly this video was posted in March, and there has been literally no additional info on D3 since. im a bit starved on one level walkthourgh and three clesses. Seriously if i didnt know any better i'd say Blizzard is having too many issues with D3 and considering scraping the project. it most definatly wouldn't be the first time they tossed a game for not making their standards. (not saying Diablo is going to be terrible, i mean when i first saw the anoucne trailer on thier website i just about sh*t my pants).
Looks like some DNDish spells will be available to the wiz this time. Saw something that looked like color spray when those skellies were behind the door. Looks great anyway.
i wish they would make this on PS3 aswell, controls would be easy, use the left stick to move, right stick to control the direction of attack, ah well i can still dream lol
Bioware screwed up. The isometric view looks so much better than Dragon Age's third person view. Everything is much more crips and to scale. I was expecting Dragon age to look like this... All they had to do was pull off a Baulder's Gate 2 with crisp, 3D graphics.
Typical Blizzard to take the basic premise and then try to make the most out of every little aspect instead of just shoving the standard thing into a game with a new story and graphics. Thats why they make such great games.
Aye Diablo III needs to be out already! Stop milking wow so damn much! Theres no need for another expansion to wow after all the work people have done to get their gear on WOLK to go screw people over again. Thats just 1 reason why I stopped playing wow after 5 years..
ten years is good because they get to make sure all the bugs in the game is erased for good but there will be accoupple of glitches . this game will be out of all hell blazing epicness!
