Diablo III User Review
- Difficulty:
- Easy
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Worth playing"
The game graphics are very good. The on-screen details in the different worlds are impressive.
The game play, in my opinion, isn't very challenging. The game play consists essentially of using only the mouse and clicking the buttons wildly. You use the mouse to move (by clicking). You use the mouse to attack (by clicking). You use the mouse to interact with menus (no surprise there). The keyboard provides shortcuts.
When a swarm of monsters comes at me, I tend to just click continually until everything is dead (or I am). Most of the time, whether I strike a monster or not, feels out of my control. In spite of the nature of play, there is a certain satisfaction in slaying the monsters and recovering loot.
As for the loot, there are many combos of items which you can use to build up your characters. The stuff is really cool. You can also sell your stuff in "auction" houses. For a casual gamer, such as myself, I really do not understand the auction stuff. There is a gold auction house and a real-world money auction house, I think.
This game is worth playing because of how pretty it is and the fun in moving along, killing monsters, and collecting loot. It's easy going entertainment.
I bought this the night it came out, had trouble getting online to play, and let it sit for awhile. I'm still working though it. I wish I had waited until the bug fixes and a price cut.

Unresistable evil, perverse with putrid sin like a sultry voiced seductress oozing disease whispering in the shadows.

If this was the first ever Diablo back in '96, then the series would have sunk and never have known any success.
