All players are herded to the AH like cattle to a slaughter. I spent 10 hours grinding to get gear to progress only to realize eventually that it simply would not drop. It is not intended to drop. You are intended to buy your way through when stuck. There is no excitement when killing elites because you know there will be no decent reward.

I had an online player tell me the real game doesn't start until inferno?? I'm not sure how to process that. I cannot get to inferno because my level 55 monk couldn't get a weapon or armor drop that would allow me to proceed. A super nice grinder gave me some gear that totally changed my gaming experience and I was able to move on. In 60 hours of play I've not received an item set piece, legendary piece or rare piece that helped my character. Actually, i've not gotten a single green or orange drop at all - set piece or legendary piece.

I've been told to wear magic find equipment but I'm not getting gear like that which also allows me to survive at my level. Should i go back to act to and farm magic find equipment? Thats not fun.

Patch 1.04 strengthens all classes which is a welcome change since the gear to do so is not available at the pace of your characters progression in the game. I've seen lvl 60 Demon Hunters with 120,000 dps but my monk is finding lvl 58 equipment that does 150dps? I can't use this. I can't sell this in gold AH cause it doesn't help anyone. it is useless for the game so why is it being dropped at all?

The point I tried to make in my other review that was deleted by Gamespot is this: Why is the review press Metacritic score for Diablo 3 so high when there is a huge backlash from the gamers, a 70% drop in the player base and almost universal dissatisfaction with the core design elements. Why is there such a disconnect between the professional review press and the players of the game? If we cannot rely on the professionals for honest and insightful perspectives on a AAA title like Diablo 3, what is going on? It is a matter of trust and I look to Gamespot as my soul source of reliable insight into a games merits and Diablo 3 is no different. I expect to see the "hard truth" about diablo from Gamespots reviewers and I heard or read nothing from that review about the issues plaguing the game
