World of Diablo Age: Origins is horrible! Blizzard=Stability, Replayability, Originality..or money making machine?
The problem is the latency, i play bc2 cod4 mount and blade online fine. D3? Always red, so i teleport right into enemies, i press q for potion, but there is a delay. i keep dieing from connection. Or, i do well, find something great...and get disconnected, come back, stuff gone. yay. NO STABILITY WHICH IS A DIABLO CORNERSTONE!, and even if it did work? AGAIN WHERE TO BEGIN?
First, you arn't allowed to complain about the product you spent money for and doesn't work, apparently that makes you a hater, whinny self entitled brat, AND even if you want to return it, people say you can't due to no return policy in the "contract" you agreed to in order to run the game. Topics about game problems are being deleted rapidly on the forums. I was banned on the forum day 2. thats gotta be a record or something.
Im trying to keep this short, but there is a lot to cover in my head.
Okay, skills. You dont get to pick skills rather you unlock skills built into the character, you get to use 6 at a time so most people think its an improvement...guess again. You CAN'T change them during live combat, so if you have a setup that doesn't work, you have to retreat to where it is safe enough to press S and redo your setup. D2? only 2 at a time, HOWEVER, you could go through ALL skills available with the mouse wheel.
Also, no points to me means no re playability, you WILL make the same exact builds everytime, so why play again as the same class? It should be noted some of the skills are REALLY cheesy, Barbarian's ancient spear? hell nah , GET OVER HERE is scorpio's line, why a mortal combat move is in D3 is beyond me, but Blizz does steal a bit of everything here.NO REPLAYABILITY HUGE DIABLO CORNERSTONE
Stats? what stats? you dont think YOU get to pick them do you? that would make it YOUR game.
Getting back to stealing instead of creating. BOSSES! oh wow, what a fail imo. loved d1, didn't wanna see king, or butcher in d2...and i didn't! They made new cool ones, like Izual. D3..meh, why actually work on the game when you can take take take from other games, especially their own. It is no breaking news that SC2 didn't bring much "new" to the table, fighting The Skeleton King, The Butcher, Izual..Ragnorak as Belial? very very disappointing on the originality end.NO ORI---well you get the idea by now. ITS NOT DIABLO
Many says its not "dark" enough, while they through in some gimmicks, it really feels very childish, particularly the writing. I mean i konw the game is supposed to be rated M...but i cant help but feel like i am playing one of my little cousins games, you know, the ones with all the eye candy and full of stupid cutesi little remarks.
Which brings me to the talking point...This is Diablo, i dont give a damn what my "follower" ( thx dragon age ) is thinking, or how two followers get a long or interact. Really MMO feeling, and some of the horrible acting ruins the "dark" feel its supposed to have.
I dont know what to say about that graphics, they dont feel like Diablo, but if you close your eyes and pretend you are playing the next Dragon Age game, the graphics do alright i guess.
But, it doesn't feel like Diablo, the dark gothic medieval game, where you could put an arrow through something, plant an axe in someone's skull, or blast them with magic. I was always the axe guy, but in the wonderful magical land of D3, even the melee feels SUPER magical, the feel of being an immense brute or a fast assassin now feels your a immense magical brute with magic powers, or a melee mage...WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLE FEEL OF JUST PLANTING AN AXE IN THE SKULL? no everything explodes or goes flying, you guys remember the Unseen from D1? hitting em with an axe and watching them split in two from the neck to the waist? just talking about it makes me want to install D1
Which brings us to another point. When you played the originals..how long before you said, this is getting kinda boring....a week? couple months maybe? I was playing D3 tonight, on the rare chance that it was yellow for a bit....BORING. idk what it is, it just feels very cheap and not addictive at all for me anyway.
Now, the most disgusting for last. It is becoming clearer and clearer by each company and title release, the focus profit. I am not so naive to believe D3 isn't offline, solely to hacking. Its all about the Real Money Auction House. The way modern gaming is going is sickening. All the great entertainment companies are turning into greedy corporations, and Blizzard, i think they crossed the rubicon long ago. The launch was a failure that could have been avoided, but wasn't, to save money. And all you hear from the "blizz-bots" is "hmm a game failed on launch, theres a surprise"....THATS MY POINT, it is a surprise for me. I didn't and never will play the "cheap crack" that is WoW, apparently, failed launches are to be expected, and forget about holding the company accountable, people say, " be patient".....how did it ever get to this? we should be outraged at ANY failed promise, not defend such action. Guys, this is your money? I work for my cash, to be told that i cant use a product i spent money on? or even use it the way I WANT TO AND WHEN I WANT TO...its a slap in the face to the customer. I don't watch a lot of t.v. cuz i can't choose what i am watching and when...thats what gaming is for, now gaming is going the opposite direction...
I kinda went off topic and on a rant,,,its hard to get it all out, suffice to say there is a huge list wrong with D3

Long story short, i LOVED Diablo 1 and 2, played 2 for years , just played it recently in fact, casually, got to expansion, and once again, i couldn't put it down,...Diablo 3 was never released, and World of Diablo Age: Origins...doesn't fill the craving i have ..for the next Diablo game
