The box cover got me all excited...

User Rating: 4 | Diablo III PC
And that's pretty much where the excitement ended. The install went pretty well, and starting up the game went well. The graphics are a bit too cartoony and empty for me. The sound was ok, as well as the music (same music from Diablo 1 pretty much). The story and quest so far is pretty shallow, basically it's something to keep you moving along. The world seems small and boxed in (but that's Diablo).

Here's my problem, the server is really never up enough for me to play. I understand their reasoning behind making a single player require online login and constant session, but if you are going to do that, you better well have some reliable servers. When the server is up, I am waiting for a while in the queue.

I just don't have the time or patience to sit there and wait 15 to 20 minutes at a time to play a single player game, only to constantly get the "server coming down" message and be kicked out.

I would have given this game a 7.0 rating had the server constantly been up. But it isn't (far from it).

I would have considered a 5.0, but so far the game is very shallow and somewhat boring.

I chose to give this game a 4.0 because I think it is underaverage for a game in genre, especially from a company who ruled this genre in the distant past. You would think they would have come out, guns blazing, with their experience.

I'm sorry, I am not going to invest any more time in this game.
