Metroid is game series were basically a game were you have to find out were most thing's for yourself you can get stuck for an hour just trying to find that artifact you need to get but in the series you get clues from artifacts and ruins bout what is going on and you will get scan data on were you need to go next.
The main character you play as is Samus Aran who’s an interstellar bounty hunter currently working for the Galactic federation. Samus is an orphan adopted by a intelligent race called the Chozo they are a peaceful race who found Samus as the only survivor of the space pirates raid on K-2L.
It thanks to them she is a bounty hunter they made the power suit with Chozo blood flowing through it and that pretty much describes Samus Aran.
The main plot of the game is that you’ve received an emergency transmission from a space station and the galactic federation has sent you to investigate when you arrive at the station it is almost completely destroyed and being the brave bounty hunter you are you decide to investigate what caused this and this ship belongs to who else but the ever annoying space pirates. Through out this part of the game you have to get used to the controls, moving and fighting off the half dead space pirates in the building.
Eventually you’ll come across the insect queen who you fight and hopefully win against when you destroy her the ship is exploding and you have to escape and that has been added in a lot of Metroid games which makes it so much more fun and half way through your escape you’ll come across meta Ridley which is just a reborn version of the one that Samus defeated in the zero mission game. Basically he is the leader of the space pirates he resembles a pterodactyl in some ways. Unfortunately he doesn’t stick around much and flies off and you continue your escape and eventually get caught in a explosion and lose all your power up’s have to find them again on talon IV which is a planet I’ll talk about later and when you get to your ship your mission changes completely to find out what the strange poison is that the space pirates were investigating is. When you reach the planet you’ll land in talon overworld, which is a small part of the world itself and you’ll immediately begin searching for artifacts and clues to where the space pirates are hiding among the a planet.
Well the game play in Metroid Prime is simply excellent.
You will have to search throughout the planet in order to find power ups scan the data of ruins and computers.
The weapons you get in the game are all different your main weapons is the power beam, which is always good against most enemies.
The techs you find throughout the planet will help you access different routes to different places on the planet.
The world itself has just got amazing graphics, you will venture to place like the ruins, Phendrana drifts, a lava filled cave and the heart of the strange poison itself.
Throughout the world you’ll find other side items to improve your health and missile’s.
Talon IV world is a big puzzle itself there will be tons of challenges like morph ball maze’s and boss’s where you have to scan there weakness in order to defeat them. A other thing you can do is scan objects and creatures for clues for what is going on the planet and to find out info about the creatures on the planet because the more you scan the more closer you get to finishing the game with a full 100% score.
The music sounds good to and suits the whole alone on the planet theme Nintendo and retro did a great job with this game in game play, graphic’s and sound. So recommend this game to any one who likes a good shooter/puzzle game.
So an overall rating i give is 9.7 A SUPERB GAME.
