I originaly read that DMC was to be Resi 4 but they said the concept strayed to far off the whole Resi game type so made it into a completly different game and im so happy they did.
I thought first hand when i read about it, it was gona be a flop these fast paced jumpy shooters was not my thing but when i first rented it i was absolutley stunned by how good it was and for its time Dante was one of the most developed characters around and one thee cooliest.
What a storyline also so original with a bunch of weapons that makes u wanna become a demon hunter the character relationships were amazing and the black plot and the history of Dantes family was just outa this world.
Game play took on a whole new form after this game it was revolutionay. i always compared characters to Dante and once you have played this game as much as i did then you will see the big gap in the amount of detail between some of the game characters in other games.
It was so enjoyable the levels were original and so was the puzzels.
This is definitly in my top tens games of all time and should be in every gamers collection on the top shelf along with FF6 and MGS1, Resi 1&2 and Oblivion.
I am impressd with the indepth games capcom have released they have developed their stories to the brim which is what i like to see in a game. i wont go all the way and say its the best.. its lacking length which wud have gave it the edge over resi but as it stands its on the fifth best game ever stand!

DMC it's so hard that can be really annoying, but awesome gameplay, story and occasionally great camera effects save it.
