Your best Dante adventure yet, but gameplay can be quite complex and difficult for some gamers.

User Rating: 9 | Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition PS2
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is a fabulous game and I give it credit for over the top visual style and for it's complex and quite difficult gameplay, but I find is why this series seems to be driving farther away from casuals.

Gameplay: Really fun controls but a requires a pretty steep learning curve and quick reflexes because as you progress through your journey oyu learn new abilities and gain new weapons which doesn't require you to but it can help out if you master all abilties and perfect your weapon skills, also the game is hard but if you enjoy challenges this is definitely for you. This adventure takes you through a a prequel to the Devil May Cry series so you won't miss anything if you haven't playe the other two and the ending leads you to the beginning of the first Devil May Cry. Graphics: Pretty decent graphics throughout the game though you may notice a few rough edges here and there. Cut scenes basically just give you the vibe of Dante being a young punk who actually in a way matures along his journey, some with the over the top over exagerated sword and gun moves.

Sound: The sound is where this game shines in my opinion, once battles start some demonic rock and roll immediately set the hardcore mood for this game. Voice work is nicely done and the humor comes off quite well and have you snicker maybe even laugh a few times.

Value: If you plan on picking up this game definitely pick the Special Edition for the bonus content it really makes it worth your money and the extras totally rock. One extra add in is the unlockable feature to play as Vergil Dante's evil twin brother and be surprised at how different he plays.

Tilt: The some what longer than average single player adds a lot to the Devil May Cry series, along with some great new content not found in the original release of Devil May Cry 3, this is really on top of my PS2 collection I have nothing but praise to give Capcom. I'm sure you would enjoy it as much as I have.
