Guess who's back with a brand new rap!

User Rating: 10 | Devil May Cry 3 PS2
The third installment in the Devil May Cry series. First of all, I'd like to say that this game is based all on pure adrenaline pumping action. I mean, in the very first movie clip of the game there is rock music, grim reapers, pizza acrobatics, a sword, guns, two halves of a pool table, using an enemy as a skateboard and shooting snooker balls. That has to be the coolest movie clip I've ever seen. The graphics are very good and show that Capcom is keeping the standards high. Like Resident Evil 4, they keep graphics the same both during gameplay and movie clips. The gameplay's action is nothing to laugh at. There are several different styles of fighting each with three levels each to upgrade. One lets you go crazy with guns, one lets you go crazy with a sword, one lets you spawn a clone of yourself to assist you in combat, one lets you run on the walls and flip around like neo on drugs and one lets you perform special guard moves. There are a good selection of weapons on offer as well, divided in melee and ranged weapons, including a guitar and bazooka, all of which can be used in Matrix style. All of them can be upgraded as well for additional power. The story mode is pretty long on it's own and with around five different difficulties to use, it can be made even longer. There are bonus costumes on offer also so you can change how cool you look when you fight. The music in this game is amazing, with rock and heavy metal combined in the soundtrack, it makes for great listening and playing also. Anyways, in full, this is an absolute triumph in gaming and should be brought, maybe not by the faint of heart though mind.
