most other critics don't agree with this game, but i feel its a little underrated, as it does have a good side

right, ill get straight to it, dmc 2 is very different from dmc, not in all the good ways though. if you've already played the first dmc you will most likely be disappointed with Dante's character. this game is allot darker, more serious, and has a short and unsatisfying storyline, especially the ending. but because this was the first game i played of devil may cry i saw its good side, i loved it, Dante is fast and powerful and he can freakin' fly! it's only after i played the first dmc and came back to dmc 2 that i realized how much everything had changed. Dante's character was boring to me and i missed him taunting his enemies, i sort of felt stupid for liking it so much!
so, compared to the last dmc this is a big disappointment, however it makes up for the bad characters and storyline with fast paced fights and more stylish, faster moves. so to me this is an alright game, but i do wish they'd kept the old character of Dante! if you are new to devil may cry i'd recommend the first or third game, though he is annoyingly slow in the first game.
