The visuals in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are a much improvement from the last Bad Company game which by the way was visually nice to look at, but this one is a much more lush and much brighter and colorful which in my mind made the environments that much more prettier to look and I'm sorry for using those to describe the detail of this game but it is true. Now I'll mention the detail to this game where they in fact looked great from the all the snowy environments all the way the lush and beautiful environments of the jungle's, even the desert environment looked great. The detail to the Bad Company team looked much more detailed than the last one which is a great thing despite the detail to the character's looked good in the first game, but it is still good to see an improvement in that part of the game. In short the first Battlefield: Bad Company's visuals were great but the visuals in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are much improved and they are much more lush and they are amazing to look at.
The sound in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are amazing and their is not much improvement here on the sound of the weapons and everything that involve's the Dolby Surround sound in this game and from the first and in truth why mess with this part of the game this aspect is truly amazing with the life like sounds of the weapons and all the sounds of the exploding grenades, rockets and the sound when a house come's crashing down on top of the enemies in the single player campaign and well the same goes for the sounds in multiplayer as well which is just amazing. The voice work in this game is just as great in this one as it was in the first Battlefield: Bad Company and it as the same great cast of voice actors as the first and they still have the some funny one liner's just in the first, but hey they are still trying to bit serious in this but the dialog is still great with it's clever one liner's and the serious dialog it was all great. So in short from the Dolby-surround sound of the weapons and to the voice work it was all simply amazing.
Now for the game-play to this game I'm going to split in two parts, one for the Single-player and the other part for the Multi-player.
Well what can I say about the single-player in this game and that has been changed from the first one is that their is no health stick or needle what ever it may be called that was in the first one, but now in this one it has rejuvenating health which is a little bit better in this, the story in this on is a little bit mor serious and it still has it funny moments so basically it's still not to serious but just as good as the last one and just like the first game where you were able to blow up the walls and now the difference in this one is the fact that you can take down the entire building in this one and that is fun to do.
Now for the multi-player portion in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, well what can I say about this game is the fact that this game's multip-layer is where D.I.C.E's bread and butter is on this part of the franchise is it's multi-player and it is as addictive as any COD game, any Halo game and GTA4 or even any Gears game and it is fun as balls, and here is the fun part here and I mention this in the single player part of the game and I'll mention it here and it is the fact that this game has fully destructible environments and on most buildings and structure's, if you see some one camping in a house or any structure that is, just simply make it rain with a mortar strike at structure's as the Recon Class to make the other player panic a bit, blow that spot open as the Assault class with c4 or the grenade launcher or even use the Engineer Class to blow structure's up with one of three rocket launcher's and lay down anti-tank mine's to stop a tank in it tracks and with that said you can drive vehicle's in this one just like the l;ast one but they added a few more and so now you have motor boats, ski-doo's and atv's along with tanks, helicopter's. Their are four mode's to play on or their might be 2 or 3 depending if you bought the game new or used, I have the limited edition so it came with 4 modes and 10 maps instead of 8 and now since this game as been out for a year just about their are a bunch of map packs and 2 expansion packs, but before I go of topic l'll tell you all about the modes and just like in the first Battlefield: Bad Company you have team Rush mode which is a mode that consist's of a 12 on 12 team battle with on team attacking and the other one defending M-COM station's, then their is Conquest mode where that is a 12 on 12 battle for team domination for flags, then their Squad Rush which is a smaller version of big team rush which is and I haven't actually played this mode at all but I'm pretty sure it's 4 v.s 4 type of match and last but not least is team squad Death-match which consist's of four squads of four and it can get pretty hectic, but it is lots of fun. This entire multi-player experience is fun and addictive.
Now the overall point to this game is this game should be in your collection and if not that's ok cause this game might not be for everyone cause this game does take team work and none of this lone wolf stuff won't work, but yes this game is absolutely worth getting especially with the ultimate edition out for the game where it come with all the dlc for the game and the hit arcade title Battlefield: 1943 and you can get all of it for about $40 dollars or less right now and this game is worth every penny.
