James Kozanecki answers questions from the GameSpot community about perspective, difficulty, stealth mechanics, and more in GameSpot AU's Questionarium!
Deus Ex is the type of game, where no matter the platform, the experience is the same. Epic. After playing the original(release day pick up in spring 2000')some 50+ times, i had a try at the PS2 version. And while they had to cut corners with that version due to ram restrictions(ie..multi loading sections in beween levels), the game played the same..and the story was of course just as epic. So no matter the platform, pc/X360/ps3, unlike so many other games(ie..overhyped COD series/overhyped Crysis2..ect), you won't be thinking about the graphics, because this type of game's core, is all about gameplay/choice/and story.
I wanted to know if it's going to cost bioelectric energy to use your melee attacks. I could handle an energy cost for the lethal attacks, but I'll be very disappointed if the nonlethal attacks drain your reserves.
I really hope this isn't going to be some bad port. I'm getting it for PC, but I may wait a bit and see if it's ported properly or not.
Is it? The pc version have a special made HUD, with a toolbelt with drag and release function instead of the selection wheel for the consoles. The hacking is done with the mouse, it supports eye infinity and 3D for the pc only!
Im gonna get it on PC just to pay homage to the franchise basically. I have PS3 but I just regard Deus Ex as a PC game... call me a dinosaur
He didn't answer my question: James, can you customise your characters head gear to wear a toupee?! :(
