Definitely doesn't deserve all of the hype. There are so many poorly executed ideas and forgetful moments!

User Rating: 7 | Deus Ex: Human Revolution PS3
Deus Ex Human Revolution is a stealth game with an element of choice based situations. It reminds me a lot of a kind of mix of Metal Gear Solid and Alpha Protocol. You play as Adam Jensen an augmented human (meaning he has robotic limbs) as he follows a story of espionage and investigates leads to uncover a massive plan to rid the world of augments.

The Good
• The story is well told, for the most part, and it gets especially good at the end and touches upon some philosophical issues.
• The controls are excellent allowing you to flow through the stealth sections without messing up and getting caught
• The upgrade system is plentiful and the upgrades make a significant difference giving you the reason to try and get them
• The amount of detail in the back story and the universe they have created is extensive and if you are interested you can read all of the e-mails and e-books contained in the game

The Bad
• Many stealth sections become laborious and nothing ever surprises you
• Boss fights are ridiculously simple and pointless
• Lots of pointless and silly things which are forgetful and annoying
• If you get caught and you are in the open – you're dead
• Becoming hidden again after you have been caught usually means hide in a vent for 5 minutes.

All in all I'm giving it a 7/10. It's a good game which some fun moments and an alright story but the game just lacks the wow factor that makes you feel you are playing something special. Most of the time it's not that much fun. If you have played a MGS this will probably disappoint you because it's kind of a worse version of them but if you haven't and you are new to stealth, feel free to check this out.
