User Rating: 8.5 | Destroy All Humans! 2 PS2
When Destroy All Humans! came out a few years back, it stirred a lot of mixed reactions between critics and casuals. Now its sequel, Destroy All Humans 2! is here and it improves on a lot of stuff that its predecessor screwed up. For instance, the menu system is almost gone, the freeroam is 10 times better and now holding Square pops up a weapon menu instead of having to press R2 in the first game. The story is set 10 years after the first game and it's a bit all over the place but it has improved. Now instead of using human brains to upgrade your weapons, you use Furotech cells wich you can get by completing missions or finding them on rocks or buildings. Now instead of being forced to collect DNA before you started a mission, you can jump strait into the fun. Now missions are started by finding and talking to someone instead of having to go back to the main menu, plus there are now side missions. Now if you die, you respawn under you saucer, and if you die during a mission you don't have to restart. Now there is a new multiplayer system called multifuron, and it's a bit unwanted. Although dueling each other is good fun. The graphics are brilliant! Crypto's smart ass comments are still there, the human probing gameplay is still there and the ability to fly around in your saucer is still there, but THQ have really improved on everything, it's an easy 8.5 out of 10.
