Crpyto is back, with bigger guns, and an urge to Destroy All Humans!

User Rating: 7.5 | Destroy All Humans! 2 PS2
Of course if you played the first game in a franchise and you liked it then obviously you will most likely play the second game in the franchise, no duh. Destroy All Humans 2 was a very difficult game to find at my local Gamestop, they only had one copy and it was new. I bought it of course, didn't know when I would get to see another copy again. Anyways I'll stop my rambling and begin the review, greetings comrade.

(4 out of 5) Story: Crpyto has done it, he has taken over the U.S. as the new President of the United States. Now he has all the time in the world to party with the ladies, heh, heh, yeah. But the Russians attack his mothership, and now they are targeting Crypto as well. It's the Cold War in Destroy All Humans style, Furons v.s. Russians, its time to make war not love! I actually liked the story, it was sort of like a rewrite of history with an alien I guess. The missions go well with the story and help with the overall presentation. (4 out of 5) Gameplay: As you should now by now, destroying humans is always fun. Messing with humans, turning buildings into rubble, what more could you ask for. I'll tell you; less glitches. Everywhere in the game I can always spot a glitch whether its a humans getting stuck in the ground, people walking in mid air, or Crypto falling through a hill, I can let a few glitches slide by but this is just whack. The co-op gameplay is a nice touch to the game, you can finally have something to do when your friend comes over, thank goodness. The amount of missions and side quests are abundant, you will have plenty to do whether its a main mission, or if you just want to help form a cult, its loads of fun. The thing that really got to me was the amount of talking could be rather too much at times, the gameplay dies down because conversations between chracters seem to last forever, sure there were some funny sayings but most of the time it was far from hilarious. At least there were ninjas.

(3 out of 5) Graphics: The game's graphics looked pretty dull compared to other PS2 games. Sure there were a lot of detailed environments, but what good is that if the graphics itself are ugly. Especially when you are playing co-op and the screen gets cut in half, the graphics get even more dull and ugly, I didn't even think that was possible. (4 out of 5) Sound: I need to give props to the voice actors, they were just downright funny, but in a good way. The voices match the chracters well like Crypto and Pox, man it was just fun listening to them blab. The sound of explosions, crumbling of buildings, and the screaming of humans were delightful. (hahaha delightful) Destroy All Humans 2 did a very good job with the sound quality. Some of the songs in the game were actually catchy, strange because most of them were 60s songs, ah well. Overall: Destroy All Humans 2 was an improvement over the last game, but not too much of an improvement. This is a really great game and I would highly recommend it to others who have an interest in action/adventure/destroying humans/probing people/alien weaponry type of games (I know that didn't make sense) Best of all the game has ninjas, and c'mon who doesn't love ninjas.
