lets be straight here, Destiny is far from a perfect game but that doesn't mean its bad. destiny has been getting a lot of slack since its release and people don't understand how the game works.
Destiny is and always will be a FPS/RPG loot based game, loot and RPG games are all about grinding and my god will you be grinding. this is its strength and weakness, why so many come back to Destiny for its weekly reset and why so many stopped playing.
the loot is RNG which can suck, you can put many hours behind the game and come out with a weapon you didn't want, or you'll play for an hour and get that perfect rolled 1000-Yard Stare.
But I still find myself coming back playing its many many content like Strikes, Raids, Prison of Elders, Challenge of Elders, Trails of Osiris, Iron Banner and many of the different PVP game modes. all give unique and exsclusve weapons.

So ill talk about my experience from the start.
I was given a BETA key to play, well, the BETA and I really enjoyed it. It was what I thought, I didn't jump on the Hype train which was the problem with many players.
YEAR 1, I got it on release and I played it for about 2 months and stopped playing, I did put in 40hours before I stopped and I did enjoy it. but I got bored, very bored, I hated the game, I got tired playing the same thing over and over and I coulnt find anyone to run the Raid which sucked. so I stopped playing.
it wasn't till YEAR 2 when The Taken King was released and I got the bundle to play Year 1 DLCs too.
and this is when the game got a lot better, the problems with YEAR1 was fixed, or almost fixed and I got myelf into a clan and made realy good friends with them. it wasn't till half way through the year when the same problems arised. but if it wasn't for the clan id stop. but with the clan it made te game so much better, I don't mind running Raid 3 times a week and constantly doing the strikes and finding all the secrets with them which was a lot of fun.
im hugely excited for YEAR3 with ROI with my friends and im sure ill stick this game out for the entire 10years its meant to be out for.
Top Tip, Get the Destiny APP, get a clan, make friends, and you will see how much fun Destiny is. I just can not put it down now.
