Your Destiny is the R1 Button

When you hear about something for months on end to a year it's easy to get high hopes. The problem is things are better in your mind than in reality and this is another case of that. A game from a big company everyone knows making a new game for a new console and the old ones. Of course when you get a new gen of consoles you get a small pool of games, so everyone has to get excitied about something.

Destiny is..well its a FPS, Sure it's pretty but wheres the substance? We've all played games like this before, it does nothing new or innovative. You go around shooting enemies til your eyes hurt and your hands are sore. The enemies don't have much of a cool down when it comes to respawning. Basically if you move ten feet away or look the other way they've respawned, Literally! I came across 2 enemies that were a higher level than me, managed to kill them and only moved a little bit away to snipe some other enemies. In the time it took me to crouch and look down my scope I was getting attacked by the newly respawned enemies I just killed SECONDS earlier.

In the outside world dying has no real penalty, but when you get to last objective or the 'No respawn zone' which are like boss battles you get penalized hard for dying, because they thought it be a fun idea to have you spend 5-10 minutes defending an area against non stop enemies and make it funner by having you start ALL OVER if you manage to die. I know people love spending lots of time doing something only to die so close to the end and getting to start all over, so much fun.

You have your special attack or grenade(Ive only played as warlock) or w/e special power that takes FOREVER to charge,so you can use it once or maybe twice since some battles are just way too long. As for that grenade its a 1 hit killer assuming you can hit the enemies, theres been plenty of times It hit right by 3-4 enemies and I only kill 1. Not much of a super power if moving a foot away does no damage, Its a grenade so it should have a more destructive range.

I've always been annoyed by games that allow the enemies to cover and peek but don't allow you to do that and this game has that and games that have enemies that don't appear to reload but they strongly reduce your ammo. Yes enemies drop ammo, but some instances you don't have the luxury to go run over it and pick it up.

It also outfits the enemies with heat seeking bullets meaning you can run but if you don't get behind something enjoy getting hit cause those bullets hung a sharp left to hit you. Meanwhile I headshot enemies with a powerful rifle and they're still alive.

This game has 2 moves shoot stuff and go to the Tower to get gear you probably can't get because you don't have the proper prerequisites to acquire it yet. As for online PVP its a joke, theres no proper match making or balancing. If your a level 5 and go play online you will be playing against level 20's or with them. Most games that dosent matter since rank is just for showing off, but in Destiny higher rank means better items, stronger items. Which means lower levels get killed quickly in PVP, Its not impossible to kill higher levels but you'll probably die 7 to 1 before you get them.

It's an average game that commits some major video game annoyances, The only thing its missing is a controller smashing escort mission. This game may be meant for the long haul but theres no variety. Its the same basic PVP modes every FPS has and the PvE aspect is always going to be you shooting stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. No matter what mode they call it.
