"Shared World" as they've been saying. At the moment it's really just semantics. When we see gameplay we'll know the difference between MMO and Shared World.

I don't think it will be any more of an MMO than something like battlefield. I think the campaign will play out something more like a coop game that simply matches you up with random people doing the same thing or in the same area and dropping you into the same "server" while you are close by.
It's not like there are 100 thousand people playing operation metro on BF3 with each other.

I think all of you are a little off. I definitely think it will be much closer to an RPGFPS - where gear and items really make your character unique. The story on IGN reveals a lot about that aspect. Maybe think of it as Halo + Diablo ... and a little bit of mass effect (space travel and story).

From the video it looks pretty well like a borderlands game, so kinda stoked to see how itll play out.

the preview they had on the PSN when they announced it said it wasn't an MMO was an open world game and HUGE. and looks amazing if they can pull it off.
