After re-purchasing this on Gog, I got around to playing this for a good chunk of time. It brought me back to a time when FPS was not an analogue controller, but a keyboard combined with a mouse (or left and right hands both on the keyboard). The visuals were just as fun, the soundtrack is still just as explosive, and the cut scenes were fun to relive again. I also enjoy the scoring system which seems to be lacking in most FPS today. The game play has that old puzzle feel to it making it more than just a run and game type of game. Interplay had a real Gem with this one and I don't believe we will be seeing any Descent sequels or knock-offs anytime soon. So if you see it, grab it. You won't regret it.
