Very hard but damn it's fun.
The gameplay is fantastic, fights and movement are very fluid and well designed.
The combat system is simple but effective, i mean what can you with a sword and shield except stab slash and block? Perfect system and they did not try to create something new and innovative which can in some cases ruin a game so this is good.
The levels are very nice looking and well made, they are very dark and dreary which sets the scary atmosphere. Boss fights can be really tricky and end up in frustration but the game balances this with a fantastic reward based system that shows if you put in the effort then you get the spoils. This also counts as you collect souls you see them as precious and have to think do you level up your character or buy new items and spells? It is a brilliantly balanced game with a massive replay value. Once you complete a game you unlock an even harder mode to challenge your already challenged self.
