Is there a way to play online without it affecting world tendency?

Yes - if you want to be signed in to the servers, each time you load the game you'll need to first load a different character slot from the main one you're using, then load your main after. This is because WT is only reset the moment you sign in to the server, so if you do that with a different character slot you'll reset the WT for that file instead of your main.

Credit to either Mud_Chan or guardian owl (can't remember which) for making that particular trick known.

There is also the option of doing all your WT events for each world in one go.

You can, yes, so long as you've done nothing in the level to affect tendency. Remember, killing BPs and primeval demons will push your tendency toward white, and killing body-form Miralda/Satsuki will push it towards black.

Awesome. Yesterday I went online in Latria's tower, the second archstone.. Got summoned as the boss.. Oh man I was so ready for a good time.. Then these two idiots massacre me with a cursed dragon bone smasher and firestorm!?

WTH!? why didn't they at least let me attack? Is 62 a bad level to be playing this part of the game? :/

Yeah I've only had that happen once... and luckily both guys sucked and I managed to beat them, although neither used firestorm on that occasion so I at least had a fighting chance. Usually people fight one on one for that boss. Sorry your first time wasn't so great :/ Still, keep trying and you'll get that yellow turban eventually! Level 62 is fine for the area. How's your equipment looking?

Pretty good, I can FINALLY use the fluted armor, if only the torso. It looks really cool. I did see the whole boss sequece when I turned into the Old Monk, but I wonder if I will see it again when I cross the fog gate own my own?

Good luck with that! Unfortunately it always makes you watch the whole damn cutscene when you're online, but most of the time you don't end up getting a real player as boss. I used to have to quit then reload over and over in an attempt to fight a real person, and it's probably worse now.
