How do i disguise myself?

Ive defeated the archdemon and got the bloody iron key and opened the locked gate near the tower knight nexus stone. i climbed up to the top of the tower but theres a raised staircase that prevents me from proceeding further to what brior says "the captive sorceress". i keep seeing messages stating if i disguise myself i can proceed. how do i disguise myself exactly?

One of the Fat Ministers in the level will drop an Official's Hat. Equip it and the Fat Minister at the top will lower the stairs. You can then dispatch him how you please and talk to Yuria. I would suggest taking off the hat before talking to Yuria though.
