Outstanding Humor, Outstanding Loot, Repetitive Hack and Slash combat.

User Rating: 7.5 | DeathSpank PC
DeathSpank has finally come to PC! Here's the review for this Action RPG from the creator of Monkey Island.

Summary:
Pros: Outstanding humor, Plenty of loot to get, Bizarre world, Simplicity.
Cons: The story it's not so good, High end gamers my find graphics to be old, Repetitive combat, Simplicity

To begin, those who had it in PS3 or XBOX360 will find and exact copy in the PC Version, nothing new, just a port that works fine.

Gameplay: The interface it's pretty intuitive and dynamic so it's the combat. At first the targeting and movement system may confuse you but you will get it in 10 minutes of playing or less, after that the game it's fun but don't expect a challenge. For combat you have melee and ranged (Melee it's so much better than ranged) most of the enemies can be engaged by just throw yourself into combat and attack, attack, attack... If you die, you will spawn near the zone of your demise and just continue.
The simplicity will charm you at first, but in the long run it may bore you.
The loot system it's just awesome, even if the items do not differ much difference between them, the variety it's colossal...! There are plenty of weapons, armor, potions and random items with bizarre names and different graphics.

Story: It's really a common story, of course you get a couple of "Oh Snap!" but overall it's just "right". The thing that shines here it's the "Humor", you will get a tons of laugh by just chatting with the NPC's and taking the bizarre quests, even the items have funny names! This is the main thing that keep you tuned to DeathSpank.
The main story it's not so long, but there are plenty of side quest which are very funny!

Graphics: The art style it's really appealing, it helps to create this strange world where DeathSpank brings justice. Looking at the Graphics themselves, you will be disappointed if you are looking for High end Graphics and effects. Basically this game can be run by outdated computers without many problems.

Final Words: If you are looking for a fun adventure with simple RPG things you will find that 15 bucks justify this game, otherwise I would advice you to wait for a Steam discount.
