Ironman Off-Road with better features, graphics, and guns!

3D Realms, in it's glory days, made some pretty good games. First on their resume is Duke Nukem 3D. Before they went under, they created a top-down racing game... named Death Rally.

Filled with full motion video, killer audio soundtrack, and vehicles that you can customize by increasing their firepower, and engine upgrades. Duke Nukem himself makes an appearance. To beat the game, you get bigger and better vehicles, move up in rank and to finally have a one-on-one duel with the boss of the game.

You don't even have to win by placing first. Just kill everyone, you'll even get a bonus from the grim reaper for doing so!

The only negative side is the story, or lack then thereof. But.. what do you expect out of a shoot em up on wheels?

GT Interactive now has the rights to this game, but 3D Realms created a game in the 90's that was both addicting and well put together. You can still download a shareware version somewhere...

8.5 out of 10. Rock solid.
