Bloody races were never so fun. A game that came out 15 years ago and stills keeps me playing from time to time.

Death Rally is one of those old school games that never get old. With a good variety of cars and tracks it will keep you playing and playing even after you've achieved the top of the board.

You start off as an ambitious driver with a beetle car and you have to beat a series of races in order to make it to number 1. The drivers you're competing with have the names of celebrities slightly changed (apart from Duke Nukem that has his original name), and the laugh I had the first time I saw them was unbelievable.

The gameplay is addicting while the top down view is not annoying at all. And here is the funniest part. In order to finish in the first place, you don't only get to use your driving skills. You can also annihilate your opponents with bullets, bombs and even spikes in the front part of your car. You can even sabotage the best players (with a big money exchange though), so it makes it easier to destroy their cars.

All in all this is a game that kept me playing for years and years, and honestly it's one of the few that I can still load from time to time and have some original "old school" fun. And even though games nowadays have stunning graphics and visuals, there's still some kind of "magic" in the games we were playing as kids.
