Not a game. A story. Poetry. This is for the thinker. The man or woman who enjoys a good tale without the stress of having to manipulate it. Dear Esther has fantastic graphics (I feel bad for fans of Skyrim [graphically speaking] because this is how I would like to see Skyrim). It runs smooth. The music is amazing. The sound effects are superb. Visually, everything was given extensive detail. Granted, in my opinion, the sky could have been done better. Nevertheless, not distracting. I really felt like immersed. Like this was a genuine story. And it was. But I won't give any spoilers. Overall, Dear Esther is worth more than ten bucks off Steam.
Also, get your dollars ready. Dear Esther's amazing soundtrack will be released on Amazon. The music is pleasant. Beautiful. A perfect companion for writing or driving down the road in the evening.
My wife and I purchased Dear Esther for Valentines Day. Other than the slow walking pace, neither her or I have any complaints. I highly recommend this game for connoisseurs of poetry and good music.
