I couldn't disagree more with gamespot.

I would like to open by noting that I did indeed enjoy the first Deadliest Warrior more than this one. But with that being said; I truly think the GameSpot reviewers have it wrong here. I don't know why load times were a problem for them. Because load times didn't cross my mind throughout playing this game. Now in Terms of a 1v1 fighter; i thought that the health and damage distribution was spot on. There Is no character that is unfairly better than the rest however the game still offers varying and diverse characters. Especially for a downloadable, I was surprised by the amount of time I was able to be entertained, playing against my friends, or taking turns on single-player to unlock armor and weapons. I particularly like this game because, unlike most arcade fighters, the fatigue indicator prevents you from button-smashing and mindless pressing buttons for combos. - which forces the player into thinking about their choices and fights. One of the best parts about this game is the Gore. There's nothing like watching Genghis Khan decapitate the head of Alexander the great to end a fight. Now with most of the good out of the way I have to mention a few things that i would've changed about the game. During a battle you can't tell how much health you have left. There is a sound that plays when one of the players is low on health but you're unaware of your health when both players are about to die. Another burden is that the character's ranged weapon rarely hits; even from almost point-blank range. But all in all, this is a balanced, rewarding, enticing, and brutal game that you can always play with your friends.
