There's no help coming........
However before I go on, it is not necessary to watch the movie first which is called: dead space downfall, but it does help with the filling in the holes of the story as you try and put it together in the game.
The game sees you as the hero of sorts traversing a mining vessel called the Ishimura and things are very bad indeed as the crew have all but gone missing or are dead. So its up to you and 2 others to work out whats going on. The game sports some great ideas like the dismemberment of limbs to take down the creatures who were the crew at one stage. The sound, music and overall feel of the game is perfect and actually makes you think and feel as though you are truly alone on that ship, except of course the radio chatter with the 2 other people.
The game also borrows from quite a bit of films, mostly aliens, the thing and event horizon. It makes resident evil 5 look like a kids game in comparison in regards to it's shock factor and overall creepiness. If you don't own this game you should as it truly has set the new bench mark for survival horror games.
