High quality title unfortunately getting mainstream with microtransaction, unified ammo and...way less horror/survivor

User Rating: 7.5 | Dead Space 3 PC
Its a decent game with excellent voice acting and well designed maps unfortunately it is more a action-shooter than a survival-horror title like the prequels. Then again the original creators of the franchise had nothing to do with DS3, so I guess the series veering towards the mainstream shouldn't be too much of a surprise.Adding microtransaction to the game and unified ammo for all weapons is certainly a way to attract more the mainstream audience but not much the horror/survival fans...

The co-op is probably the better way to experience this new entry it adds more to the story too, there are some genuinely thrilling moments here and there and there are also optional missions that most of them are only available for co-op. The Solo experience is the weakest part both from Dead Space 2 and 1 but it is long and enjoyable enough.

Like I said, it's a decent enough game with good quality but could had been way better if they didn't try to make it mainstream. Now whether its worth the full price is entirely up to you personally I wish I would have waited for a used copy.
