Weapons crafting, how about armor crafting?

I like the new crafting system, killing necro with classic weapons all through the game is so mundane, but it keeps you on your toe, because you can't have rediculous OP weapons, there is still a sense of suspense and fear.
But at the later levels, your weapons got so strong, the game turned into a thrill ride massacring heaps of zombies, than running scare like Dead Space 1.
While it's fun killing necro with so many creative ways, it takes away the suspense. They need to add strong but killable mini boss like Brutes.
I guess you can always turn up the difficulty or play classic mode, but the best circuits still make it easy.
I wish we can craft armor and helmets just like weapons. For example: Spike armor protect and damage melee necros. Balancing mobility and protection, see in the dark helmet, glowing enemies helmet, slow, thick and heavy armor like a juggernaut....etc
And most of all...the shoulder lamp, my god it's the 24th century !

cant imagine how my armor will lock if i tried to craft it
may b crafting helmet is enough it will give a nice shape
