Did anybody notice during the E3 stage demo on the PS3 that this game had more effects, IE lens flare and smoke details, as well as higher rez textures on the PS3 version while the Xbox360 had lower rez textures and effects? Seemed the PS3 version had Cell AA as well. But thats not a surpise when you remember that it was built for PS3, Medal of Honor is the same way, Assassin's Creed, and others as well like the new RFA look better on PS3. It makes me happy as a PS3 gamer that we can do more then the big sellers with the same faetures, and now more on the disc even!
nice, a special edition for ps3. so that's what i get for not being able to play alan wake ;)
we didn't feel the level of activity match the fidelity . wow how many developer can say that.
I am playing it on PS3, i mean Dead Space 1 and love it , i am almost done near the end of chapter 11. really great game destroys Resident Evil 5 crap
@ _Emperor - The mouse speed bug can be fixed by turning OFF vsync in the game and forcing it ON using your video card's control panel. I unfortunately came across this info halfway though the game, but it does make a big difference.
@burrito_tester; I think that it's that way because Dead Space: Extraction isn't a seperately sold PS3 product, it's only available on the special edition for PS3. Dead Space: Extraction is a seperatley sold product on the Wii; also you don't need move to play any game, SONY's already stated that games can be played without move. Actually, in Dead Space 1, you could pick up the bodies, heads, and enemy claws with your kinesis module.
well well looks very good the first game was awsome, I played it at night by myself the whole time and I got to tell u I was sweating bullets from start to finish, that game was sick scary :P as long as the story is good deadspace 2 can't go wrong, and the guy in the interview looked really "into it", and if the people who are making the game CARE about thier game it will be good :)
i hope they fix the very annoying FPS > Mouse speed bug that was in Dead Space 1 However, the game was pure awsome so i really looking forward to the sequel :)
people its extraction on ps3 with hd and move support. but this is not for me cause first one has slightley better shading and colors on xbox 360. i will wait and see.
it said that the special edition has dead space 2 and dead space extraction. But extration is only for the WII but he said it is move supported. So is the extration disc Ps3 and not WII? Because i went on gamestop.com and it didnt say if extration was for the WII or PS3.
The first dead space was terrible underrated, but was one of the best survival horror games out there, Can some one please invent a time machine? guess will have to play fallout new Vegas till then. DEAD SPACE= AMAZING!!!
They announced Dead Space : Extraction for PS3 when the Dead Space 2 was presented , thx for PS Move.
Man I really hate console exclusives. I have both consoles (and no matter what anyone says, they're both fantastic systems) but if there is a game for both I prefer to play it on my Xbox. Achievements points have much more weight on a gamer than Trophies, and the majority of my friends have a 360. Damn Sony and their money...
I want this ! But should i pick it up for My Pc or Xbox ? Since the SPecial edition is only for the Ps3 i'll think ill pick it up for my Pc just like Dead Space 1
first dead space was really awesome..i believe the sequel will also be great + extraction in special edition on ps3 :) can't wait :)
I love it when im buying a game that involves "2" at the end because i know what im going to get :D. Dead space 2 is going to be awsomme!

Hahaha, I KNEW they'd release Extraction for PS3. Had no idea it'd be bundled free with the Dead Space 2 though!
Wow! I am going to get this game for PC when it comes out. I loved the first dead space. But yes I agree. I'ts a long time to january 2011
