How excellent not to be disappointed by a sequel to a kick-ass game. DS2, and it's fully satisfying add-on Extraction, leaves nothing behind with the original. Although the spine-chilling headphone worthy whispers are not as well executed and indoctrinated, the atmospherics of the audio are still great. Another plus to Space and Space two is the depth and unusual angles of the point of view chosen for some of the battles, especially when a necromorph is getting up close in personal trying to rip your guts out. The story-line works (also through Extraction) , and the game-play adds enough luster so as not to just seem like a rehash of the original. The OEM DLC "Severed" , although much much much to short, shows what could have made DS2 a perfect 10 that would have exceeded the original because it actually amps up the Shock Value and crams in even more battle scars, and the final scene 'sacrifice' shows again how powerful those killer POV's can be. I can only hope DS3 includes this and beyond.
