A quite short, but nonetheless impressive return to the Sprawl.

I've got to be honest. At the time of writing this, I still haven't finished Dead Space 2. But you don't necessarily need to finish it before you finish this expansion. No spoilers are really revealed, so you are safe in that context. However, to get an idea of the main characters you will be dealing with, you should really have completed Dead Space Extraction. Frankly, there's no excuse if you haven't finished it yet, because it came with Dead Space 2 anyway.
Anyway, the story revolves around Gabe Weller, who you will be familiar with if you have even looked at Dead Space Extraction. He is now on the Sprawl, looking for his wife before the outbreak gets near her too.
As a security officer, you are going to be seeing a lot of action, so you will start with an upgraded Pulse Rifle and RIG. You will also start with some credits to spend on whatever you need. Luckily, there will be a shop near the start of the first chapter, so you can prepare accordingly.
Contrary to several reviews of this Expansion from other people, the story isn't all that bad to be honest, but the story in the original game is better. Throughout playing, several twists and turns will occur for better and mostly, for worse. That keeps the story very engaging, and makes the expansion all the more fun.
As Weller is a security officer, the game is very action orientated, unlike the original game, where you would normally be crawling through vents and repairing machine to progress. The action in the game is very enjoyable. In fact, you could compare it to the action of Dead Space Extraction. Necromorphs are jumping out at you from left, right and center.
Many of the monsters from Dead Space 2. In addition to this, a monster from the first Dead Space game makes a comeback, the Twitcher. The Twitcher is a very fast Necromorph that can dodge your fire, even the rapid fire power from the Pulse Rifle, and close onto you very quickly. Its quite common within the expansion, so you need to watch out for those.
As I'm sure you will know, the biggest issue with this add-on is the length and price. The expansion pack is a very short one for £5.49 ($7). Even with that amount of money, you don't get any other extras for Dead Space 2 that you can make use of, which is a mighty shame.
However, despite this, you will still have a lot of fun with this add-on while it lasts. The engaging story and action within it will keep you on your toes for the entire time.
