Dynasty Warriors 5 provides a lot of gameplay and a lot of things to keep both veteran DW players and newcomers busy for

It's less one big thing than lots of little things that make DW5 fun to play. First up is the new Musou Rage attack and Evolution combos that take the crowd-wasting attacks of the previous games and makes it in atacks of mass destruction. When you collect a musou token, and when your bodyguard is within range (indicated by electrical bolts between the two characters), you can perform a tandem musou attack that redefines "over the top." It's great to have, say, an archer selected as your bodyguard, and then watch her unload her bow like she was the Terminator, firing rapid-fire volley after volley while the musou meter lasts. The Evolution attacks are less of an evolution, and more of an excuse to mash on the button. Don't lie, you know you're in for button-mashing when even the instruction manual says "...you can create up to nine consecutive attacks by pressing the square-button repeatedly." Still, it's yet another powerful attack that doesn't eat up your musou meter, so hurray for more powerful attacks.
One thing that anoyed the crap outta me was:your warrior mindlessly repeating the same line over and over again, like Yue Ying spamming "This'll be over soon!" every, oh, 5 seconds. Imagine hearing that throughout the course of the entire game, and you'll ask yourself one question: "Why, Koei, why?" Also i love the japanise atmosphere in the game but the soundtrack.....
Still, despite the audio punishment, Dynasty Warriors 5 provides a lot of gameplay and a lot of things to keep both veteran DW players and newcomers busy for ages.
