@sergeant_ the whole point of this game (other than the story) is pretty much just mindless zombie killing doing that would ruin the game(though in DR1 the zombies were slightly harder to kill at night)

Hopefully what they do, is every day you survive, the zombies will slowly evolve from mindless punching bags to night vision stalkers. If not, have random bosses appear during missions that cause a bit more of a logic in order to keep the game a little more interesting.

It's understandable that undead zombies would be slow. If everything about them were still alive then they wouldn't be undead. With some parts of them not working, or if they've got a leg falling off, then it makes sense they'll be slow.

Or at least that's what I think about it. I put too much thought into this stuff xD

@RadicalToenail That's pretty evident considering how many zombie stories are based on that idea. People just classify them as "zombies" rather than calling them anything else. I think it falls under the same umbrella (no pun intended) if they're undead or victims of a virus, because either way they don't have a lot of thought processes going on at all. I was just trying to make the comparison between slow-moving, dumb zombies and the faster, slightly-more-intelligent zombies that have become more popular as of late. I can't wait to get this game also :)

@RadicalToenail : Zombies in Resident Evil also were infected by a virus ;) I never played the first Dead Rising but mindless killing these zombies without any challenge is fun for a few hours.

@newkillerstar27 What you gotta understand about the 28 Days/Weeks zombies is that they're not undead. They're people infected with a virus, but they're still alive. They can be as fast as a normal person. They just have this 'need' to be violent, forgetting all notions humanity. Just rage. No thought, really. Just rage... Which, in a weird way, is a great way for a virus to spread and thrive. Causes the host to get up-close...

Resident Evil zombies are just weird though. :P

Anyway, this video makes me want Dead Rising 2 even more. Good thing it comes out right after my birthday. :D

@Basik3108 They do fight back, but they sometimes don't notice you. They're old school zombies. Not the kinds from the newer Resident Evils and from the 28 Days movies.

I've never played the first one but this game looks boring dude the zombies don't do anything. killing things that don't fight back is not fun at all, is like playing freaking dynasty warriors. waste of time.

the zombies aren't supposed to be the true enemies more like obstacles, but these don't even hinder progress, they're intestine filled punching bags.

the crowds must be denser, and hopefully their will be difficulty settings, super fast zombies FTW

This game looks awesome! First one was great, expecting great things from this one! I love the combining weapons thing. Also, BEER HAT FTW!!!

the first game is still one of my favorite games to play, and the sequel looks like it'll be taking everything cool about the first and expanding on it which is great. missed coop in one, but glad its in two. can't wait for this game, hopefully they change up the save system and whatnot.

So many great games are coming out..... I need a better paying job and more time to play games ... I hate growing up. haha Marvel vs Capcom 3 has me feeling like a kid again with anticipation!! Dead rising 2 has me all exited as well..... I was stuck on the first for hours Beating the crap out of zombies ... saving everyone and now on this one I can go online and play with friends on line and the weapon mixing looks like tons of fun! All Capcom has to do now is come out with a new mega man X game with the 2d new age streetfighter graphics!! That would be amazing!

this looks great! Co-op was the one thing I wished was a part of the first Dead Rising. Loving those beer hats...and the vomiting :).

OMG please let it be more than just 2 player coop I hope there are other multiplayer modes it's just 2 players is so old school I hope it can go up to at least 4 but it not.. oh well I'll have to deal with it, I plan on getting this game anyways

The barrel,mask, and spear to the zombie reminds me of Madworld, a definite plus
