GameSpot AU speaks to producer Keiji Inafune at E3 2010 and gets the lowdown on customisable weapons, narrative themes, character motivations, and the differences between single and co-op in Dead Rising 2.
they aren't attacking because they don't realise where you are since their brains don't work but once they figure out you're there they all come after you
Remember how we all begged for Dante's Inferno to come out for PC? (still hoping) Well, for this one I just think PC users are better off without it. Just saying... It'll be just another deception like Saint's Row 2. Just saying...
What matters of a game is the gameplay the grapichs are not all.
lol the weapon concept is good but graphics wise its definitely a lose.. wtf standing paddlesaw?!?
eeehh ... no
The game looks awsome, and well, guys, are you waiting an inteligent zombie? they are idiots, so, the go everywhere, like the walls or to your neck, and well, the game now will arrive 'till the september 28, that means that they will do some changes, just wait
If the video is this boring, I can only imagine the game...
At least this time round you can see your PP increasing - I know it seems like a small detail but this kind of thing would really encourage me into killing zombies; whereas I simply mucked about and only killed zombies where it was necessary in the original game. Now you can see active change towards levelling up.
Is it just me or does the AI looked f'd ? at :29-:50 the zombies aren't even attacking him, they are walking into the wall.....lol game looks very 2005ish
Waiting for the Review before buying. Looks nice tho. Like everyone, I hope it doesn't get BORING.
i want that jacket
I never played Dead Rising but I wonder if it doesnt get repetitive after a while and if the zombies gets less passive?
@xsonicchaos I totally agree! Asians only think about making you stay in the game as long as possible. Their games are all about customization, outfits, collecting useless s**t to unlock more useless s**t. No substance whatsoever. At times they actually die over there from physical exhaustion while playing computer games. What a lifeless race :)
what the f**k is that guy talking about love and s**t? all i saw was some freekin' idiots smashing skulls and shoving lit crackers up zombie ass. oh, you asians with your manga hentai bullcrap.
wow they cancelled multiplayer, thats a blow for me.
at least give an option for free play so you can turn the against the clock off.
looks abit glitchy?
multiplayer?
This will be awesome/ better than DR1.
I used to have Xbox360 and i finished the Dead Rising 1 there. Now i have a good PC and a Ps3. Why the Dead Rising 1 not released in those machines? (I PREFER PC but the game is not out for Ps3 also). Dead Rising 1 for Ps3 not exist? Strange. Very strange.
Looks boring also it seems there is no AI.
Please not again against the clock. PLEASE. I want to enjoy the game and NOT only to run all the time. I want to explore the map. ALSO why the guns-items to broke? Or if they must broke, why to broke so fast?
The human enemies can take more punishment than the zombies?
'We really refined the story for the game, the main characters daughter is kidnapped, and it really becomes about love and family, and it has allowed us to go into the very emotional and unselfish aspects of loving your children, and the theme of zombies that were once human. AND THEN we let the players purchase silly groucho marx glasses and weird green pajamas and whatnot. We wanted to include this so that greed, or something, would have an emotional pitch with the player."
"Essentially we applied more in depth strategy by allowing people to add other weapons together, to create bigger, more powerful weapons. Granted, there's zero threat from what you're up against, originally our beta levels consisted of many, many barrels, with fish in them, but to keep in touch with our original smash hit, we made the fish zombies. That stagger around. Also you can acquire insane amounts of cash while you're doing senseless killing."
Hey people, don't forget that THE GAME ISN"T FINISHED!
im not worried about the zombies standing around. if you would look, he is only on case 1-2, meaning the very beginning of the game. im sure they get more aggresive as the game goes on, just like in dead rising 1
Wow... those zombies are stupid... even for zombies. Just standing there... So, the fact that you can customize weapons is cool I guess, but when they won't even attack you, it seems sort of boring.
Not fun at all... :s The damn zombies aren't even attacking :s
this game looks pretty good, does anyone know exactly what the time limit is and its aspects?
Human avarice knows no bounds.
I hope this game doesn't get repetitive, like the first one :|
this game looks fun, happy its coming out on ps3.
looks good but i did not like the first game so i do not think i will like this one.
I am so glad that the time aspect of the first game is returning in the second. It is just one of the things that set the first game apart.
I wonder how Keiji-dono feels about the textile jacket that he is wearing.
