I spent hours upon hours on the first Deadrising even though it did have some minor flaws from no auto save to the story being riddled with overpowerd bosses requireing you to go from the begining and go to the point and be ready to face the boss again. The first did also havea unique story yet it was hard to find a way to get to know the trurth behind Willamete yet the game was fun. The sequel starts you off as Chuck Greene; a ex-motocross champion and survivor of the Las Vegas out break. You daughter almost didnt make since she was bitten and you had to run around for Zombrex; a somewhat allergy relief pill for the infection that is looming to turn you daughter into a flesh hungry brainless zombie. You begin the game doing a Terror Is Reality game;simmiler to a game show; just with Chainsawarmed Dirt bikes and alot of zombies needing to be ripped in half. You decide to win or not but I have a complaint; if you win every one acts like you lost, so if you lost everyone acts to you accordingly; what the heck is with that?! It has caused me reason literaly put this in my written review. Not like its a bad thing. After the game you head out, being taunted by some hot twins, to a elevator to head to the green room with your daughter then the elevator turns off and you get out of the elevator to see zombies are overunning Fortune city! Oh dear, I sense a zombie game! At first the graphics feel much better, and combat is better, instead of repeating a attack, you chain a diffrent attack, only with some weapons. I thought that was good since I was tired of using my baseball bat like I was actually playing baseball in the first one. After saving your daughter from imminent death you head out to a fall out shelter. The Safe House of the game is this shelter. Okey on to the story you are later blamed for the out break yadayadayada end of story. This story is easier to get to from the lessening of the hard boss fights dubbed phsycopaths, who have lost their mind and aim on killing every survivor they find in this death plauged apocopyspe of Fortune City. Did I mention crafting system? After obtaining the keys to maitnence rooms of Fortune City; you can combine weapons into new ones. I will not spoil some of the weapons but will name some, for example, to make your plain Jane basebal bat even better find a box of nails to make a spiked baseball bat, or get a knife to combine with your boxing gloves. Firearms are much easier to obtain, which is, I got a shotgun in just 45 minutes of the first gameplay. I mentioned Chucks daughter being bit right? Katey needs zombrex every 24 hours, making it that you have to manage more of your time finding or obtining it through cases, buying it or finding hidden zombrex. Buy it? Yeah there is money in this game and it dosnt come cheap to buy a weapon or zombrex at the pawnshop which has some things mega achivers might get, that cost one million dollars. There is a online mode that helps you get money, which you compete in Terror Is Reality challnges against 3 other players. This is a good feature, but only in theory since there is long loading screens, and its fairly easy to say it is hard to get a good match but they end in a chainsaw bike match like in the begging of the game. Phsycopaths are back and very few are incredibly difficult to the point you need a gun. Even better there is no phsycopath at the gun store so head there when ever you can. DLC in this game is just packs adding abilities and they are good to have, like being able to run past zombies faster, use firearms better and have more accuracy doing so and more ammo, your close quarters combat being affter, and not get drunk. Dead Rising 2 is a worthwhile game and probally will entertain you as much as I did. Cheers, Deadrising gets a 8.5 from me.
