What An Awesome Game, Much Improved Over The First Dead Rising
THE GAMEPLAY:
the game is played just like the old game but with much better things thrown in. With the fact you can now combine weapons together to create a more powerful weapon and fun ways to kill them mindless zombies. I could just walk up to a zombie with a baseball bat and wack a zombie across the head, OR i could get the bat and some nails and stick the nails into the bat and course more gore and gain more PP with it. You can look like wolvarine and sticking bowie knifes through some boxing gloves, there choices are pretty endless. There are combo cards scattered throughout Fortune City which gives hints to what weapons to combine and gives additional PP. Right, PP is what RPG fans would call EXP. You use it to gain Levels which will unlock new stats, new moves, new combo weapons and what not. The best way to gain PP is to rescue surviours which can lead up to 10-20'000 PP or give katie gifts which will give you some nice PP. One of the best thing about Dead Rising is the loads of zombies to kill, This time more zombies gather more on screen so you must be much more carefull, but this also means more fun to kill. The time based system is back again but improved, specily with the help of a better save system which allows 3 saves so if you run out of time you can load up at a different time. some people dont like the time based system but i think it works out well and gives you reason to be quick like you would in a real situation.
GRAPHICS:
Much more sharper than the last, they are much more richer and the huge enviroment is better too with more to exsplore. With better graphics makes better stababilty meaning more zombies on screen without it stuttering and freezing. Saddly though, the loading time is poor, theres too many and for a long period of time. But this is exspected as there is alot to load up lol.
SOUND:
Sound plays a big part in any zombie games, though there is not any scarry music in the background like resident evil, the charming mall songs make it funny when you splat a zombies body all over the shop in a nice and charming sound effect, The weapons sound realistic with the sound of splatter and boshing on the head and the voice acting is top notch, specily the over hyped pchopaths.
OVERALL:
If you loved the first game, or a zombie fan then you'll love going on this game for a killing spree, Its how you would want to kill zombies in real life. Defo a recomended game.
