Short Take: Dead Pixels

User Rating: 8 | Dead Pixels X360

When this came out in 2011, most of it's appeal was it's charm. The dozens of references to zombie films and games, as well as it just being a very playable experience made it a real treat. You never really appreciate the reality of paying $49.99 on an 8-bit game, as they did in the 80's, as when you couch co-op this gem with a friend. It really puts into perspective what we expect from a modern video game. Super easy to pick up and play, Dead Pixels is an enjoyable albeit short experience much like the one you would get with an actual NES game. It only cost me $1, and it was worth every penny.

This 8-bit treasure gets an 8/10.
