This PSX game is good but its no street fighter and no tekken. Even in 2004 I still dont think its that great. I use to be a huge fan because it was different. Female fighters were the focus and i love good female leads. The game as with many other fighting game but especially this one has no story in fact the story in this game stinks. Where DOA shines is its rock, paper, sisscor style game play. The thorws, reversals, the moves all great and you feel anything can happen in tis game while fighting. However where the game crashes is the defense system. Its hard to tell a low attack from a mid attack and your so busy trying to reverse or dominate on offense that blocking just doesnt come to mind. It was pretty for its time perhaps the best looking fighter on the PSX. For deepness it was almost there but ill take tekken two and three or soul edge.
