Dead or Alive Ultimate is a throwback/classic update of those good old days when i fell in LOVE with the DOA franchise.?Even though i no longer play the original classic that is one part of this doulble disc set,DOA 2 Ultimate (which is a remake of DOA 2:Hardcore on the PS2) is definitely the reason why.DOA 2 as a sequel arguably made the most significant upgrades i have ever seen for a sequel to a 3D fight game and this is why.DOA 2 introduced those of us that was fans of the very 1st installment to multi-tiered level designed stages where you can punch,kick,or throw your opponent off of roofs,cliffs,or edges that forced your opponent to a lower floor or level on certain stages.Your opponent suffered damage as a result making for some of the most intense and brutally violent fights i have ever experienced against brilliant A.I. and human opponents.DOA 2:Hardcore on the PS2 also introduced the ability to punch,kick,or throw your opponent through glass or window panes (which is my favorite way to brutalize my opponent) especially human opponents in the intense multiplayer mode.For the all new online multiplayer modes,i highly recommend that you play that with just one player only because online fights set up against more than one human opponent you want to fight tend to be (more often than not ) extremely lagtastic (too much lag) during the actually fights you are having unfortunately.Obviously,one of the reasons this happens too much is because every gamer or so-called gamer on xbox live does not have the best broadband internet connection and speed that they so desperately need in order to prevent,minimize,or not have lag at all for the online fighting games modes (which can be or at least should be highly addictive) to say the least.That's why offline multiplayer (not surprisingly) are the most intense,brutal,and devastating fights you will ever have for the DOA 2 Ultimate disc in this DOA package.I LOVE the upgrades and updates of the DOA 2 Ultimate stages because they have all new interactive environment objects and opportunities where you can give your human opponents a thrashing they will never forget more than ever more.Out of all of the stages on each and every installment of Dead or Alive,the stages on DOA 2 Ultimate are arguably my favorite overall to date even though i LOVE the stages on Dead or Alive 4.
