Addicting! Stunning! Compelling!
First off, let me review the Characters. A large variety of fighters to choose from, each having their own unique story behind them. Their costumes are pretty nice too (and may I add that Kasumi's 17th costume is what I was after) and since they are set to a locked status, players will have to test their skills in story mode to unlock them all.
The Multi-Tiered levels are astounding. So much can happen at any given time in a fight, depending on the level (ie; Falling off a building, flying through a glass clock and shattering it to bits, etc.) and adds a new level of strategy to the game.
Along with Ultimate, the game comes with another disc which has the original Dead or Alive 2. I must say it is still a good game, considering I entered the DOA universe with DOA 3. A very challenging game in itself, and a good break from all those great looking current-gen games.
Along with Ultimate comes online play. I have been waiting for a chance to show off my ninja skills to the world and that is just what I, and many others, may do now with Microsoft's gaming service, Xbox Live. Once in a game lobby, you must wait your turn until you may fight the defending champ in the room. If you win, you stay in the game, and defend your title as the other players in the room try to take it from you. If you lose, you have to wait your turn again until you may take on the champ.
All in all, this is a must have game for all DOA fans. Even with Dead or Alive 4 out for the Xbox 360, DOAU is still just as fun for your OG Xbox.

- Latency issues with online play when too many people are in any given server/room.
- The wait when you lose to the champ.
